15th October 2006
Windsurfing: Pevensey Bay Wind Direction: E / NE Wind Stength: variable Surf / Sea State: flat with some clean swell Air Temperature: okay Sea Temperature: fine Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Pevensey Bay, sunshine & wind & lots of people out though when I got there
early doors it was a bit misty, wind was bottom end of F4 and i was billy
no-mates
Rigged 9.8m GTX & plugged into FW1.5 formula kit as hadn\'t used it for
ages and if anything gaurantees wind filling in, me going out on big kit
normally does the trick.
Sure enough, got approx 45 mins on that before feeling the feeling and came
in to rig 7.0m GTX & Hyper-X 115, just as PaulP & Richard arrived. Got
couple hours on that before a few more people started to rock up, all
having different tales of roadwork detour confusement.
Wind dropped off as tide turned then came back enough to encourage another
rigging session so 5.6m Remedy & 3S 97 got an outing. Wind was a bit up and
down for me on the 5.6m so after a while it was exec decision time and back
out on the 7.0m / Hyper-X until a weakend boom front end sensation
suggested heading back in a little \'gently\' to de-rig that one.
Eventually, it seemed sensible to pack up and head for home ... just as
gutted rocked up having been tormented by yours truly all day with reports
of increasing winds each time i\'d rigged a different smaller set up.
Nice day and made a change to have such a busy beach for forumites
everywhere Nice to meet you all, see you next NE\'ly or at White-Air
